Dear Larry,
The first thing we need to address is the compensation percentage we should be considering
paying Philippe for the use of his ideas which may or may not reach patent status. In this regard,
we need your opinion clearly stated so we can consider it as a benchmark. We realize there is no
hard fast rule, so we need to rely on your experience and the weighing factors we discussed in our
meeting of the 7th to determine what is fair and equitable.
In regards to the three applications we discussed, the first to review would be the "Corrugated
Probe" once we determine the design will actually yield the results we are looking for.
We are currently testing prototypes and should have some idea by the end of June. If it looks
positive at that time, we will need to review the application, compare to Focus' patents and
provide your recommendations on how to proceed.
Once this is complete, we should have an idea on where we want to go with the other two
applications.
